The main floor boasts a generous living/dining area and a fully furnished kitchen. The spacious master bedroom is surrounded with pine tongue & groove wainscotting and has a king size bed. The large loft bedroom is enhanced by glass doors leading to a private balcony inviting the outdoor surroundings inside. Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Superior and on a windy night, hear the sound of crashing waves. Rise early and enjoy a magnificent sunrise or if the time is right, witness a full moon rising over the lake. When conditions are perfect, the Northern Lights put on spectacular displays.

The lower level provides a large living space with two pull out couches and sliding glass doors on the lake side of the home. Surrounded in the warmth of pine wainscotting, you will find enough room for family and guests to spread out and relax in comfort.

The Trails Start Here
The Superior Hiking Trail and hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails are just outside our front door. Cross-country ski trails are just minutes away. Whether you are a skier, hiker or snowmobiler you will be treated to well maintained trails along beautiful cliffs and gorges. The first thirteen mile section (Gooseberry State Park to Beaver Bay)of the Gitchi Gami State Trail is now open and is available to bikers, hikers, roller bladers & other non-motorized uses.

Golfers will be thrilled with the wooded fairways and challenging water hazards at the Silver Bay Golf Course. Enjoy the new driving range or chipping green and don't be surprised if you have to wait for a deer, fox, moose, bear or even an occasional wolf to clear the fairway for your next shot. The Silver Bay Marina is just minutes away with launching facilities for those who wish to venture out on Lake Superior for a day of fishing or launch a kayak and enjoy the Lake Superior Water Trail. Choose from three beautiful State Parks, all within ten miles of Northland Trails Guest House. Take a hike along the Baptism River at Tettegouche, or the short walk out to Shovel Point. Relax and view the falls at Gooseberry Park or bring a picnic to enjoy after a tour through the historic lighthouse at Split Rock State Park. Each park offers trails of vast beauty, all with spectacular views of rivers and Lake Superior.

After a full day of enjoying the North Shore scenery, sit out on the full-length covered porch or the back patio with its adirondack chairs…the perfect place to relax and enjoy a warm summer evening, a light spring rain or the splendor of a fall day. Start the grill and enjoy your favorite barbecue or leave the cooking to others at an area restaurant.

You will be personally welcomed upon your arrival and given a tour of the home. A guide book is available providing information on local activities, back road tours, restaurants and gift shops. Linens, towels and basic necessities are provided. Enjoy all the conveniences of home, yet a quiet get-away from the hectic schedules of everyday life.
